If you haven't considered the RTJ Trail in Alabama, it's worth the trip, as well. There are nearly 500 golf holes all over the state. My favorite is the 'Senator' course near Montgomery.Anonymous[email protected]tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7347482.post-52394432813343756442008-09-24T19:50:00.000-07:002008-09-24T19:50:00.000-07:00There is something about a links style golf course...There is something about a links style golf course that comes across as a welcome relief from one of those manicured beautified courses. Just the feel that a links course has sets it apart from the rest of the golf courses. In most places with a links style setup there is also the factor that the golf course is far more difficult to handle. That is why Tom Watson’s incredible performances at the Open Championships are very commendable.<BR/> <BR/>It gets really difficult on such a setup when the wind goes up and becomes hard for a player. At a recent tournament on a links style course it was just fascinating to see how some of the top players adjusted their drive in the difficult wind conditions to ensure that the ball still made its way to the narrow fairways.<BR/> <BR/>I think the most pleasing albeit difficult part of the golf course in a links style course has got to be those natural contours one encounters which really stand out. Once while playing a round of golf at the DunDonald golf links in Scotland, I found that on some of the courses you had to encounter as many as seven to eight slopes on the green. While it may be aesthetically pleasing, it is definitely a real challenge for a golfer.Rob Turnerhttps://www.golfswingsecretsrevealed.com/blog[email protected]tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7347482.post-38677381040829811692008-09-10T15:24:00.000-07:002008-09-10T15:24:00.000-07:00Ah yes, as a fellow SoCalian, I don't really own a...Ah yes, as a fellow SoCalian, I don't really own any rain gear whatsoever.Golf[email protected]tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7347482.post-4697960664668669372008-08-17T00:23:00.000-07:002008-08-17T00:23:00.000-07:00OMG, Just because you guys like golf, doesnt mean ...OMG, Just because you guys like golf, doesnt mean you know golf. First of all, if its raining, dont play, wait an hour or two, nut dont lug rain gear around,or an umbrella-they dont work in the wind. I have an idea- 14 clubs, 6 balls, a light bag and a golf game. Forget the other stuff, you not a pro and you not good enough for that stuff to help you aanyway.Anonymous[email protected]tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7347482.post-50987784776333497172008-08-05T16:53:00.000-07:002008-08-05T16:53:00.000-07:00Don't miss out on the "trip of a lifetime".
